Huh? Did I miss something?

I took two things away from the Oscars and both of them can be summed up with that phrase.

First, I was watching E! for my red carpet coverage. I wasn't happy that the first person that came down the carpet was Miley Cyrus. I mean why is she there anyway? But I digress. While she was being interviewed, she was asked about her new movie, Hannah Montana: The Movie. She's excited about it, blah, blah. As the interview wrapped up, she was told to enjoy herself and have fun, and maybe we can see you here next year. Then she says something to the effect of...wait for it...she hoped that she could get nominated for her movie because it's really good and shows a different side of her, and she was completely serious. Which leads me to:

Huh? Did I miss something?

Does she really think that the Hannah Montana Movie is in the same league as the movies nominated for best picture!? Does she think that she is the same caliber actress as Kate Winslet and all the great ones that came before her? The day the Hannah Montana Movie gets nominated for best picture is the day I throw out my DVD player and never go to the theater again :)

Second: I feel like I missed something with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. I don't care one bit about them. I don't. I don't care if they are ever in another movie again. However, I think I'm in the minority because when they stepped out of their limo, Giuliana Rancic actually screamed! The co-host of the show actually screamed! Which lead me to ask:

Huh? Did I miss something?

Is she not the woman who broke up a marriage? Is he not the one that left my girl Jennifer while filming a movie? I don't know, maybe it's just me, but WHY IS THAT OKAY!?

So there you have it, my take on the Oscar's! On the fashion side, I thought Kate Winslet looked gorgeous and I actually liked Jessica Biel's dress. Okay, back to the Bachelor!

I completely agree. Hannah Montana bothers me to no end... And Brad and Angelina, I could really care less. And it is TOTALLY NOT OK for Brad to have broken off what seemed to be a perfect marriage to go adopt random babies with another woman! I do not approve. I actually missed the Oscars entirely, I didn't even know they were on! Yes, I know, I live in a bubble. :p ;)

Omg Juliana Ransic was RIDICULOUS! She is the freakin' co-host of E! News, pull yourself together, you deal with celebs everyday! Ugh! I don't see what the big deal is either with Brad & Angie. I mean they are an attractive couple obviously, but still.
And Miley!? WOW. That comment is ridiculous! What is she thinking!!?
Great post, and I have to agree with you, it definitely feels like I missed something!

I now know we are for real friends :)

Last night at the computer...I came across Miley and actually said out loud to my husband...why was she even there??

I have always hated Angelina and Brad...and I don't understand what is so great about them and how everyone loves them. I loved Brad and Jen and I will never forgive Angelina or Brad for breaking that up. Never!

I agree. I though Miley Cyrus' dress was disgusting and she just generally annoys me. I agree about Angie and Brad too. Who cares?! I've always been on team Jen.

Seriously! I completely agree with both of your comments. Miley Cyrus is full of herself, and I could care less about Bradgelina.

I completely agree with your on both topics. I could care less about Brad and Angie and Miley is more annoying than Paris Hilton.

Okay. So, I'm going to say that I love Angelina & Brad Pitt THE ACTORS. Personally though... I call them both home wrecking whores. LOL.

As in, I'm dying to see The Changeling. Angelina is SUCH a good actress. Too bad she's a home wreckin' whore.

Well, I hated Jessica's dress. But it's okay for us to disagree sometimes. haha. As for Brad and Angie. Gross. However, I was so proud of Jenn and Mr. Mayer looking ever so fabulous. Although, Jenn's hair could've been better, not gonna lie. But she's gorgeous, so whatever. You missed the part where they showed all the actors/actresses that passed in 2008 about 20 minutes after giving Heath Ledger's family his oscar and they missed him in the memorial! Huh? Did I miss something??? Yeah, it was an interesting night for sure. Much better played than the Grammy's though, I'll give them that.

PS- Kate Winslet, LOVE her.

I could not agree more. Miley is ok and all, but when in the last time a Disney movie won an Oscar? And Brad and AJ aren't two of my favorite people. I am a fan of Jennifer. Like Kate Winslet, Halle, Jada and Will Smith.

I thought Kate Winslet looked magnificent too! Wow! And I'm always gonna choose Jen over Angelina. Always.

Nope, it's not just you! Especially regarding the Bradgelina thing! I guess if they fell in love they couldn't help it, but she is overrated and the news is old now, geesh! Oh, and did Miley really say that?! Freakin Wowzers; that's all I can say about that.

I didn't watch but caught the red carpet the day after. Poor Miley...she is DEFINITELY young and living in the land of make believe.

As for Brad and Angelina...I LOVE Brad, I was very upset with the whole Jen thing too. but I guess we all make mistakes and they seem to be in love and trying to make a difference, so I guess I'll forgive them.

But I definitely get your HUH, question.
